Injury to the brachial plexus causes muscle paralysis in affected muscles and to varying degrees. With the ability to assess up 4 muscles simultaneously with Senstension, the extent of nerve damage can be assessed by investigating the ability to contract individual muscles innervated by the various branches of the plexus. This can provide a baseline value to follow improvements and the effects of various forms of therapy. The advantage of Senstension is that assessments can be made at any stage during rehabilitation and in any therapeutic setting, without the need for electrodes, needles or extensive skin preparations. Senstension can also be used as a biofeedback modality during exercise therapy in order maximize treatment outcome. Back to applications>>>
