Our Solutions

The ability to generate symmetric bite forces through both temporomandibular joints is essential to avoid the development of occlusional problems or temporomandibular disorders after reconstructive maxillofacial surgery. The masseter and temporalis muscles are the most important bite force generators and can be easily measured and assessed using Senstension sensors. The ability to measure all main masticatory muscles involved in producing bite force provides an unprecedented advantage in measuring muscle function which produces bite force. Not only will Senstension assist in determining important imbalances in force generation, it will also provide crucial information in compensation patterns the patient uses to avoid discomfort. Senstension metrics will serve as a measure of treatment success and form the basis for further post-operative treatment. Back to applications>>>
