Our Solutions

Muscle function and tension development in tendons can be assessed prior to surgery to provide baseline values for post-surgical rehabilitation and optimize the rehabilitation process.Because of the ability to use 4 Senstension sensors simultaneously it is possible to, for example, measure tension changes in the vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, biceps femoris and pattelar tendon during a simple squat protocol. This measurement will provide insights into the synergistic relationship between vastus medialis and vastus lateralis, important in patello-femoral tracking; the agonist-antagonist relationships between knee flexors and extensors, fundamental in disorders and injuries that require knee stability; and finally, the transmission of power from the quadriceps, throught the pattelar tendon to the tuberositas tibae, important in variety of tendinopathies and chronic knee disorders.
